The 2010 Member Information Conference showcased many new features and solutions discussed at this year’s learning event! The topics of discussion ranged from budget program integration, meter data management, smart phone apps, remote provisioning to marketing, integrated cash management  and collection software solutions. Banquet Highlights:

Kicking off the banquet, the Brian Wolf National IT Learning Center® celebrated another iVUE Certified expert. Ashley Garringer from First Electric Cooperative, Jacksonville, Ark. successfully completed the NISC coursework required to earn this distinction.

The NISC Service Excellence Awards recognized three Members who improved their community or customer service experience in an innovative way.

The winners were:

Consolidated Telcom Dickinson, ND	Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation, Shallotte, NC	Delaware Electric Cooperative Greenwood, DE
Service Excellence in People: Service Distinction Award	Service Excellence in Process: Innovation Award	Service Excellence in Technology: Technology Award

This year there were also three honorable mention awards given to:

• Big Country Electric Cooperative of Roby, Texas, Service Excellence in People: Service Distinction
• Innovation Honorable Mention to Midwest Electric of St. Marys, Ohio, Service Excellence in Process: Innovation
• Florida Keys Electric Cooperative of Tavernier, Fla., Service Excellence in Technology: Technology

Banquet guests also viewed the winning entries of the NISC MIC Video Contest, where Members/Customers were asked to submit short videos showing how they’ve grown smarter together.
