What are the dates of the 2026 MIC?

The 2026 MIC will take place September 14–17, 2026. 

When does the MIC officially start?

The MIC officially begins with the Opening General Session at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, featuring Doug Remboldt, NISC President & CEO, along with a guest keynote speaker. There will be two pre-conference events to make the most out of your time in Las Vegas. Pre-Conference Workshops will be offered on Monday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and the Role Call Networking event will begin at 3:15 p.m., with plenty of time to make it to the Opening General Session after. 

Where is the 2026 MIC being held?

The 2026 MIC will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the MGM Grand Las Vegas. 

When will the concurrent sessions schedule be posted?

The concurrent session schedule will be available in early to mid-June and prior to the early bird deadline.

What is Collaboration Over Coffee?

This event invites participants to meet with their Account Manager in an informal coffee setting to discuss topics relevant to their organization or specific role during breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday in the main dining area. It focuses on open collaboration, idea sharing and personalized conversations tailored to attendees’ needs and interests.

What are the deadlines for the 2026 NISC MIC?

The deadline for both registration and housing is Friday, August 21, 2026. 

When are the Member Advisory Committee and Functional Sub-Committee meetings being held?

These meetings will be held Monday, September 14, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., prior to the Opening General Session. More information will be provided as it becomes available. 

What are the Pre-Conference Workshops?

These six-hour sessions will be led by NISC subject matter experts to give you in-depth training on best practices with real-world applications. Pre-Conference Workshops will be offered on Monday, September 14. Additional information can be found here.

Registration

What is the registration cost?

  • Early-Bird Rate: $1,245 (through June 17) 
  • Regular Rate: $1,345 (after June 17)

What does my conference registration include?

Your registration includes: 

  • Opening & Closing General Sessions with NISC & guest speakers 
  • All concurrent educational sessions 
  • Breakfast on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday  
  • Lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday 
  • Receptions and breaks  
  • MICfest on Wednesday evening

Are one-day registrations available?

Yes. The one-day rate is $550 per day. 

  • This rate does not include MICfest 
  • Register as usual, then email mic@nisc.coop to request a one-day rate adjustment 

Are badges required?

Yes. Badges are required for all sessions and events, including MICfest. 

Can I bring friends & family?

Yes. Friends & family may attend for $300 per person. This includes: 

  • Welcome Reception on Monday 
  • MICfest on Wednesday (food & beverages included) 

No other meals, sessions or conference activities are included. MICfest tickets are not sold separately. 

How do I note dietary or ADA needs?

You may indicate dietary and ADA requirements during registration. Our events team will review all requests to ensure accommodation is provided. Questions? Email mic@nisc.coop. 

What are the hours for the MIC registration desk?

All times listed are local Las Vegas time (PDT): 

  • Sunday, September 13: Noon – 5:00 p.m. 
  • Monday, September 14: 7:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. 
  • Tuesday, September 15: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, September 16: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 17: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Members who pick up their badge before 2:00 p.m. on Monday will be entered into a prize drawing during the Opening General Session. 

What is the cancellation policy?

Through Friday, August 7, 2026 

  • Full refund, no cancellation fee 
  • Cancellations must be completed through the MIC registration site 

After Friday, August 7, 2026 

  • Refund minus a $400 cancellation fee 
  • Registration substitutions are allowed at no charge 
  • Email substitution requests to mic@nisc.coop 

The MGM Grand allows individual attendees the right to cancel their guest room/suite reservations without penalty up to seventy-two (72) hours prior to the attendees scheduled arrival date. Please visit the hotel page for more information.

Hotel

When can I book my room?

Hotel reservations are made after you register for MIC using a special link provided in your registration confirmation. This ensures you are placed in NISC’s official room block at the discounted conference rate. 

  • Reservations made outside of this link will not receive the NISC rate 
  • One room per registered Member 
  • Reservations must be made by August 21, 2026, to receive the conference rate

CAUTION: BEWARE OF HOUSING SCAMS 
Please be aware of fraudulent companies and organizations that will try to present themselves as official partners of NISC and offer a potential room that might not be guaranteed or available. If you have questions about the authenticity of a company or email, contact mic@nisc.coop. Contract hotel rates for the 2026 MIC are only available through the official NISC registration process with CVENT/Milestone Meetings. 

What hotel is the NISC room block?

Rooms are available exclusively at the MGM Grand Las Vegas. Please visit the hotel page on this website for additional details. 

Can I book a room any days before and/or after the conference?

Yes. The NISC discount rate may be available up to three (3) days before and three (3) days after the conference, based on hotel availability. Additional nights outside of our official room block may be available at a slightly higher rate. 

I am bringing my family. Can I book more than one guest room?

No. Guest rooms are limited to one room per registered Member. Friends & family may not book additional rooms under NISC’s room block. 

Travel / Transportation

What airport should I fly into?

Fly into Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), located approximately three miles from the MGM Grand. 

Is airport transportation provided?

No. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation. Uber, Lyft and taxi services are readily available, with typical fares under $20. 

Can I store my luggage on Thursday?

Please bring your luggage to the MGM Grand Bell Stand for storage before heading to the convention area for breakfast and the Closing General Session. Luggage storage will not be offered in the convention space.   

Evening Events

Are there organized activities on Tuesday evening?

The MIC will not host organized evening activities on Tuesday. With Las Vegas offering world-class dining, entertainment and attractions, attendees are encouraged to explore and enjoy the city on their own. 

Do you offer discounts for things to do in Las Vegas?

Yes. Two options are available for booking discounted dining and entertainment in Las Vegas during MIC. You may take advantage of these offers or make arrangements independently. Please visit the Experience Las Vegas page for more information.

What is MICfest and where is it held?

MICfest 2026 will be held at Topgolf Las Vegas on Wednesday, September 16 from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Visit the MICfest page for full details. 

Miscellaneous

What should I wear?

Business casual is recommended (jeans are welcome). Las Vegas weather is typically warm in September, but meeting rooms can be cool, so layers are encouraged. Evening events and MICfest are casual. 

I am a concurrent session speaker – when can I access my room?

Session rooms will be available for viewing and practice on Monday, September 14, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
